A randoseru is a firm-sided backpack originally from the Netherlands. It is made of stitched firm leather or a leather-like synthetic material. Today it is most commonly used in Japan by elementary school students. The term is a borrowed word from the Dutch word "ransel" meaning backpack. Wikipedia
