The Iron Reef Character Line Up
Minnie, Maxine, Sigmund, Jasmine, Kallie, Piotr, Kathy, Mia, Meg, Dutch, Oz, Renée, Bopsir, Drudgegut, Galjin
It's 2025, and we're now living in a post-LoJR world; but don't despair, all is not lost, and I have a new sci-fi project with characters I will dress as seldom as possible to offer:
The Iron Reef
And these are the futuristic idiots we'll see.
From left to right, we've got:
Maxine: IT Manager: Maxine is a short, outspoken rat who lords over the small IT department on board The Iron Reef. She has no idea what she's doing,, but that has never stopped her before. Also she's the second-horniest person on board.
Sigmund: Sigmund is a newt- and the chief engineer. If there's something that needs fixing, he's your tiny guy. He's also deeply involved in a relationship with Jasmine.
Piotr: The Captain of The Iron Reef- he found the ship adrift, and managed to fix it up, slap a gun on it, and find mercenary work during an interplanetary cold war. He's old, cunning, and mostly iron himself.
Kathy: The Requisitions officer and second-in-command of the Reef. if it's not nailed down, she can get it. If it is, she can still get it. She was vital in cobbling together the parts that comprise of The Reef.
Renée: One of the two IT professionals working on the Iron Reef; while her boss might know what's up, Renée and Minnie form an indominable coding duo. Quiet and extremely socially awkward, she has massive boobs that makes up for most of it.
Oz: One of the two best Swarm Pilots on the Reef, Oz is the Twin Brother to Dutch, in spite of literally all evidence to the contrary. He and his brother think they're the main characters of the comic. They are not.
Dutch: Dutch and Oz are both orphans, ended up at the same orphanage together: they soon discovered their birthdays fell on the same day and since then, they treated each other as family. Dutch is also one of the best Swarm Pilots on the Iron Reef, and also considers himself the main character. He also is not.
Bopsir: Bopsir grew up with Drudgegut and Galjin on Sa'at, when their tribe took in a strange, furred stranger from The World Outside. When Kallie grew up and was rescued, they asked to go with her, and explore what lay outside their sleepy, bronze-age world.
Drudgegut: Lazy, large and lustful, Drudgegut (no relation) went with Bopsir, Galjin and Kallie into space. And while he feels he's only traded one village for another, he's a sucker for the amenities. And the selection of ladies.
Galjin: Galjin is a completely ordinary dinosaur, nothing so unusual here. Often thought of as Drudgegut's pet, Galjin might actually be the most scientifically curious being on the ship, after Meg and Sigmund. Communication is an issue though, as only Drudgegut can seem to speak to him.
Kallie: Kallie is a completely psychic normal wolf lady who crash landed on Sa'at, shortly after her own planet, Monument, was destroyed in a... freak accident? Probably? Anyway she is entirely normal and not carrying a vampiric entity she found on Sa'at that drives her to lustful deeds.
Jasmine: an attractive crewmember, Jasmine drives cargo to and from the Reef, and is an accomplished shuttle pilot and hovercyclist. She is also weirdly possessive of her newt boyfriend, Sigmund.
Minuet: The final member of IT, and an absolute phenom, given how young she is. She'll show up to work, blazed out of her skull and spend the next 9 hours typing like a madwoman, and come up with some of the most exotically imaginative defensive solutions and not comment ANYTHING. Only Renée seems to be on anything approaching her level, and Maxine is convinced she some sort of robot.
Megan: If you need something fixed, see Sigmund. If you need something exploded, see Megan. Megan's the weapons engineer, and highly skilled when it comes to destroying things at a distance. She also runs a robot battle league and at least 2 weapons development conventions on board the ship with the rest of her design team. Megan is very sweet on Sigmund, whom she respects a lot, but is constantly clam-jammed by Jasmine.
Mia: Mia is very big, and very strong, and thus, is reponsible for the ground-based commando team on board the Reef. When she isn't dodging Meg's affections, I mean.

MemberLove all the characters. Am surprised by the gender ratio being nearly completely even. Only short 1 guy.
