Description

It's not often that Nana allows Lilian to help her with potion making but she does try to push her worries aside from time to time. Of course, the curious nature of the witchy kitten often ends up letting her thoughts do the actions. It only took one cauldron explosion to make Nana demand any kind of potion brewing be done outside and away from the coven. Lily knew she had messed up but did right and helped clean up everything while agreeing any experimental potion making would be done safely away from others. She does still keep a brewing stand in her own enchanted hut but keeps it mostly for making things she already knows how to. Mostly.

One evening, Nana had reluctantly agreed to help the young witch out with creating a potion of her choosing. Lily spent a good bit reading up on various tonics and more before finally settling one she found interesting. What it was doesn't matter as the outcome was one Emilia had dreaded would come to be. It was quiet and the two witches had been carefully measuring, pouring, stirring, and reading for hours. The liquid in the cauldron had turned from murky to clean and then a brilliant green that seemed to glow on its own. Safe to ingest? Probably not. At least not yet.

Lilian had been shuffling around the large cauldron as her yellow-orange eyes darted from the open top of their concoction to the various herbs and ingredients they had brought along. Her 'mother' had tried several times in vain to curl around a phial or bundle of herbs before being swatted away by Nana, who watched diligently over the collection. Despite keeping such a watchful eye on the various items, her gaze must have lingered too long in the book to read up what the next step was.

"Ooh!" Lilian sounded out, her fingers digging into the glass phials in the box before pulling out one and looking it over.

"Lilian..," came the stern voice of Nana, not even glancing up from the book as her back was turned.

There was silence for a moment. Too long of a moment. Nana's ears flicked as her head lifted before hearing the cork pop open from the ingredient Lilian must have grabbed. She knew it was too late but she couldn't stop from reacting. The elderly fox snapped her head around to look behind her as she saw the feline holding the now-mostly-empty glass above the cauldron as the herbs sprinkled out like dangerous snow.

"In you go~" Lily whispered, leaning in to watch it all flutter down, getting her face dangerously close to the bubbling surface.

"Child," Nana called, her eyes wide as she realized the reaction that would happen. It was mostly a warning to her. One word in a tone that explained right away that she was going to punish her once everything is over.

In Lilian's mind, she knew she was going to be punished for disobeying her elder. She also knew that it would be just her cleaning up the mess and bringing things back. Still, she liked to see what various items did. Although, she really could have just asked...
