Description
The model isn't finished yet, but I finally got these two in a presentable state.
Rhao is the male in blue and purple and Nekki is the female in brown and orange, and they love each other very much. I originally made these two as Avali years ago, but at one point I split them off into their own thing. I haven't given their race a name, and I have no idea how to tag it properly.
Lore wise, as eggs, they were laid separate, but both stolen by space pirates and used as experiments for a bioweapon before being rescued together. Rhao was very afflicted with it, while Nekki was exposed less and only minimally affected. He ended up being physically weak and socially inept, and he has a bunch of other health issues, but he's very smart (essentially just autism). He deeply trusts and loves Nekki, who takes care of him and loves him just as deeply, but he has trouble trusting anyone else. They're both the same age, both hatching on the same day, but he's slightly stunted, height wise.
They're both using the same base model, there's a control bone to toggle the character (and another to toggle whether they have NSFW parts or not), and I'm using Blender's asset library to instance them into scenes.
The materials are 100% procedural before being baked down into textures, there's a few issues with the UV map and some visible seams but they should be easy enough to fix.
Unrelated to the characters, I'm not very familiar with video codecs, but when I encoded the mp4 for my website and for sharing on Discord, it came out to 5.6mb, while the WebM encode for here ended up being 12.7mb, both were encoded from an image sequence in Blender (with a black background, the original is transparent, and my watermark on top), is there a particular reason WebM is preferred?
