Surge and Kitsunami, finding themselves stuck at such a low power level compared to Sonic and his friends, decide on their own to use the power of a “Chaos Emerald” (which would have a strange appearance) and Dr. Starline’s power crystal to increase their power, but ineptitude and impatience are not a very compatible mix in a compromised place.
