Artist description from Pixiv:

English Translation:
The startup screen for Krita 5.0 - 5.1. The initial inspiration for this came from Monet's art "Woman with a Parasol". At the end of 2020, I noticed that Krita would display a high-definition version of the startup screen on high-resolution screens, but the previous startup screen lacked sufficient detail to support such a high-definition display. For many years, I have forced myself not to pile on details and special effects, but instead to focus on training of the basic relationships between shapes and colors. However, due to the need for a high-definition startup screen, I decided to reintroduce complex techniques. In this version of Kiki's design, I emphasized her characteristics as a robot, making her nickname "electronic squirrel" truly fitting—all her joints use mechanical structures, and I boldly revealed some of the framework at the connection points. Her hair, ear buds, tail, and dress all use semi-transparent plastic materials, emphasizing her artificial nature.

Original English description from artist (from Twitter/X):
Krita 5.0 beta 1 is out! Now I can post the new splash I made for Krita 5.0. It was originally inspired by Monet's "Woman with a Parasol". I tried to emphasize Kiki's robotic nature, experimented with translucent parts and costumes. I hope you like it!
