The "aphrodite the absol" can be seen in both comics, so it's likely that aphrodite supported both comics and asked for an absol

Actually, Aphrodite is the mother of another famous male shiny Absol, Artemis, the one you have in mind. So perhaps her owner was able to get her into the comic somehow.
