(Script and Story by Prince_Borgon)
Now almost a tradition, the prince uses to call for large castle balls to celebrate happy moments experienced by the princedom or simply the changing of the various seasons.
And in each of these events, he uses to pick a magical blue rose from the rose garden in his garden
that produces them all year round, and then walks among the guests with this rose in his hand.
He takes a look at them all, and his golden eyes scrutinize each guest not so much in their appearance or clothes, but almost more deeply, where their soul is hidden.
And suddenly, when he feels he has made his choice, he gives the rose to the guest he feels deserves it the most, and then he starts the dance with them.
The dragon Ray is once again at the castle to visit the prince, and without knowing it he discovers that there is a ball scheduled that very evening.
So, after having plucked up his courage, he shows up at the event with the intention of asking the prince for a dance.
Easier said than done. Why would a prince bother to dance with him?
Surely there will be more sumptuous guests and of a much more noble caste to whom the prince will offer his hand.
Yet, even after finding himself surrounded by the most colorful figures there at the ball, Ray really wants to try.
He feels that, even if embarrassment holds him back, the ruler of Valmeridia might actually grant him that dance.
And then, with his lungs filled with air and his heart racing, he comes forward just as the prince is about to pass by him.
The room falls silent and only the music produced by the musicians echoes softly in the air.
Has he done well? Who knows how everyone is looking at him, now that he has come forward with a loud voice!
Then, a warm hand caresses his head, and something is put in his hair.
In the end, maybe it hadn't been such a bad idea to be noticed like that.
After all, as they say… Stepping out of your comfort zone is when the magic happens~
