Series: Belly-popping haul

Story:

It had been a particularly productive night, raiding the old abandoned factory complex which had become so overrun by the lush forest around it that bipedal scavengers would’ve been hard pressed to make headway in the confusing hedge of crumbling buildings, trees, and thick vines even during daylight hours – however as a large quadrupedal feline Feligris had found it easy to slip in by climbing and jumping until she’d been able to hit the maintenance areas for valuable tools and the warehouse for stock which never left the building before the end came suddenly.

What had been difficult even for her however had been extracting herself from the area once she saw the first light of dawn, given how due to her desire to travel light on the way to any targets she had eschewed any saddlebags or other ways to carry loot on her, in favour of scooping up everything into her maw and down her gullet into her stomach and guts which she’d used as convenient even if uncomfortable loot bags before. Albeit she’d never gone as far as last night when she’d been devouring any valuable looking loot almost frantically until she’d felt like puking, after which she had still forced herself to ingest some more until sudden pains within her overly distended belly had compelled her to leave it.

Leaving certainly hadn’t been easy as her ground-dragging gut had been almost impossible to squeeze through the maze she had navigated with ease earlier, but she’d somehow managed it and was now well on her back to her scavenger group’s HQ where she’d be helped to offload the awkwardly heavy cargo in her strained and protesting stomach. But that’s still a long way ahead as she shrewdly decides to take a longer rarely travelled side route instead of the rather busy direct route to the HQ.

‘Eeep, didn’t think it’d be this hard to – hurk – get through here, this really hasn’t seen much traffic since we mapped it few years ago, but that’s just good since I doubt no-one bothers to camp along the way either! I’d really hate for someone greedy to become curious about what I’ve eaten…’ she thinks out aloud with a tailflick as she laboriously pushes through weeds and bushes which have all but covered the already narrow path – at least it’s relatively flat given how she’s constantly forced to kind of slide her swollen belly forward due to how low it sags. Thankfully, the rising sun illuminating the forest floor through the thick canopy makes it easier to stay on the path given how it all but disappears at spots and splits into false forks into nowhere.

‘… not that there wouldn’t be a way for me to – mreooww – accidentally tumble into a hidden chasm or fall of a cliff in this forsaken jungle if I strayed off the path, can’t see my own nose through these bushes… eeep, just to think how easily my belly would split open if it took a good blow!’ she continues her musing after pausing her trek for a moment to gather her bearings and to catch her breath as a wave of nausea caused by the constant jostling of her stomach contents passes through her, inadvertently blushing briefly at her own thoughts once she continues.

Mrurr – I’m glad there’s no-one to see or hear me out here, I can have my fantasies of accidentally bursting my poor aching stomach which I’ve again stuffed so full I feel I’m going to throw up something every third step – hrrnn, it’d be so deadly for that to happen out here but I can’t help it… she ponders silently and blushes again as her teats which peek through the fur of her taut hide, harden to the point where she meeps quietly when leaves and twigs brush over them. After all she’d specifically joined the scavenger guild she’s part of since they didn’t bat an eyelid over her unusual looting methods or the need to her her disgorge her loot after returning, something which also secretly aroused her thanks to how roughly her belly needed to be handled for it.

And even now the complications of hauling her heavy loot-stuffed midsection through the overgrown path amid stomach aches and intestinal cramps makes her thrilled, although also frustrated over how little headway she’s making and how her girth seems to be increasingly slowly but steadily – but thankfully the familiar sight of a rickety suspension bridge over a dry ravine greets her, telling that she’s past the halfway point of her trip. However as she approaches she feels more apprehensive than relieved as the tension within her aching guts is clearly worse than an hour ago and it’s clearly even harder to walk, hence she pauses again at the end of the bridge to let her eyes pass over it while she lets out an acidic belch.

‘Not looking as good as last time, not that it felt very safe then either… but maybe it’ll still take my weight!’ she comments before taking the first tentative step onto the bridge.

Despite her optimism it soon becomes clear that crossing will be dangerous as the weathered and cracked planks creak loudly under the weight of her paws and the whole bridge begins to sway uncomfortably, all while her swollen belly has gotten to the point that she’s forced to start kicking herself forward with her underbelly dragging over the planks and ramming into them every time she takes a small leap forward.

Ergh, isn’t much left now even if it’s uphill, really have to stop and figure out what’s bloating me – I bet my belly would pop like a water balloon if I fell down! she idly ponders with her tail quivering reflexively from the thought as she struggles to shift her now rather loudly gurgling distended midsection along the incline – and then it happens.

Just as she’s shoving herself forward another half-step with her hind claws digging into the planks, there’s abruptly a loud crack which is followed by second and third in rapid succession, the noise and the immediate brief sensation of being yanked downwards eliciting a startled yowl from her. But seconds later once she’s over the initial shock, she finds herself still standing on the bridge, albeit with a fair bit more pressure on her paws and mass pulling down on her back, making it rather easy for her to realize her overly full belly has broken through the flimsy bridge deck, with her underbelly well under it and the round form as a whole precariously wedged between the planks at the edges of the new hole.

As she gauges her situation with her neck craned as far as it goes, her ears quickly perk from the sound of wood pieces hitting the bottom and her thoughts begin to race – It’s not a deep ravine but I’ll still burst like a tick at this height! – whereas her tail deftly wraps around one of the weathered ropes making up the railing. Although she’s not hopeful about getting out of her sudden predicament, she nevertheless strains her hindlegs to push herself forward – only to be rewarded with a sudden bout of nausea which makes her heave and retch quite noisily, her cheeks bulging from half-digested mass rising up her esophagus before she’s able to start forcing it back down.

Nyaaah! So great! Now you’re really in a pinch, you greedy kitty with your big stomach… why’d I have to insist on eating so many of those ration packages too, they must have failed and begun to bloat me!

With her blushing cheeks still bulging and maw tightly clamped as she tries to wash away the acrid taste of bile, she gulps softly as she peers at the bottom of the ravine, sensing how her stomach continues to expand gradually from whatever is filling it while enduring abrupt sharp pinches from within her bowels as more loot gets pushed into her erratically spasming intestines as well.

‘Haa… there’s really no way out of this, I’ve already bloated too much and I doubt this bridge would stay together if I tried to drag my tummy out of this hole it made – ack, it has even sagged further down!’ she mutters while her tail twists anxiously around the rope railing and her cheeks continue to feel embarrassingly warm while she repeatedly checks out her ponderous girth. In the meantime the bridge groans and creaks threateningly every time she carefully shifts weight between her paws, the noises sending nervous shivers down her spine… but also adding to the warm euphoric feeling she’s had for a while now.
‘I guess I should've seen this coming! Always taking more risks and having eyes bigger than my stomach, and now my tummy’s finally going to pay the price for it… ooh, this bulging cat stomach’s really going to explode when it hits those rocks down there!’ she continues her audible monologue, mewling hastily when the bridge unexpectedly jerks a bit sideways due to the railing snapping on one side. ‘N-not going to take long now, it – gulp – seems! Aaah… I’m going to throw up… too late now! Gurk – can’t believe someone else is going to loot my guts and I won’t be seeing it – ‘

Her tense shuffling and griping is cut short however when she suddenly feels the plank under her forepaws begin to sink as it starts to crack right next to the support rope, giving her barely enough time to slam them on the next one over before it breaks completely with splinters and frayed bits of rope raining down as it swings down to be left dangling from one end – whereas Feligris is left perilously stretched out over the gap with her claws frantically digging into the soft weathered surface on both sides as the great mass and girth of her stuffed belly sways slowly in the air.

‘Ack! Didn’t realize my belly weighted this much, can’t hold – eeep – on for long!’

Right after her panicked exclamation, tense silence follows as she apprehensively watches the continued slow crumbling of the weathered ropes and bleached planks – audible hiccuping and swallowing soon randomly breaking the eerie quietness as pressure on her stomach lining gradually intensifies from the ongoing ballooning of her belly due to its expanding contents. Shivers of fear and excitement pass through her spine as she becomes acutely aware on how her overly distended..
