Topic: Pressurizing Gasses 2: Electric Boogaloo

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The bulk update request #11827 is pending approval.

create alias gas_cylinder (11) -> gas_tank (219)
create alias air_tank (449) -> gas_tank (219)
create implication helium_tank (231) -> gas_tank (219)
create implication scuba_tank (108) -> gas_tank (219)

Reason: Gas_cylinder is the formal term for a gas_tank. Helium is a gas. Scuba tanks contain gas and thus are gas tanks.

The tag air_tank is predominantly used for ambiguous or unlabeled tanks so should be treated as the generic gas_tank. One could argue that scuba_tank implies air_tank implies gas_tank but the current usage of air_tank makes such a change a daunting one.

gas_tank needs to be sorted through there is posts for pressuirzed air tanks yes but also for gas tanks for cars (gasoline tanks), just just the term its not very clear cause american called petrol, gas for some reason

honestly think it should be disimbig, and have gas_cylinder or pressurized_cylinder be the new default and remove gas_tank all together
