Topic: I created a tag specifically for canine animal's whiskers!

The name of the tag is canine_whiskers ! Let's put art about whiskered dogs and foxes in this tag!!!

The tag would probably be considered as redundant since searching for canine whiskers would return the same results.
We also do not encourage the creation of species-specific tags like this if they are going to be visually indistinguishable from any other species with the same feature.

If you still want to be able to compile posts with such features for your own personal use, I'd recommend using a set instead

And incidentally, we also have a tag for those dots canines are usually drawn with instead of full whiskers: whisker_spots. Just a reminder for taggers to use it if they see any!

And it doesn't explain why it's different from whisker spots, despite the "not to be confused with" wording. To me they look like the exact same thing.

I do know what it's referring to- it's a common stylization in furry characters to really, really exaggerate the whisker pores, making them big chunky color blocks:

I think it originated in fursuits, but don't quote me on that.

For what it's worth, I do think this is a distinct enough trend/feature/marking to warrant a tag. 'Scabs' is just unclear and sounds pejorative.
