How do I post this video file?? It says this even after converting:

error: ActiveRecord::RecordInvalid - Validation failed: video is anamorphic (SAR is 4:5)

For context it was originally an MP4, the format this site don't like, so after using both Movavi Video Converter, and even CloudConvert (yuck), it still fails. What do I just change it's aspect ratio to 4:5? (I don't think so)

e6 takes mp4 as long as it's AV1 jsyk!

unfortunately im not an expert with video stuff so cannot help with the error.

So. First of all, that MP4 is an H264, so it will need to be converted no matter what (ideally not with a random online converter). However, it is also anamorphic - that is, the actual pixel ratio is different than the displayed ratio. That's why it's complaining after conversion, and is not easy to fix without re-exporting the video from the original software.

Another day, another reason we should not have started using "MP4" as a synonym for "AV1."
