The tag implication #68409 kirin_(mlp) -> my_little_pony is pending approval.
Reason: It should be self evident, though just in case, the reason is due to this tag being related to the show itself, because of their overall design matching how canon characters look, rather than fully basing them on mythological or historical lore. Hopefully this makes enough sense to justify an implication.
are there any features of kirin in My Little Pony that are visually distinct from the more classical depictions?
Is it an official species in the show/source material?

yes.
the only question is if the MLP kirins are visually distinct enough from true kirins to cause a need for a separate tag.

I mean, to be fair, I wasn't the one who created and populated the tag. I only figured if someone added this, that it should have the appropriate implication as well.

it dosn't look like it it started being used 6 years ago but it was only used a handful of times before it was cleaned out. after that it was dorment for several years, and as of now, the current population of the tag are edits from 2023 and later.
What if we aliased it to kirin?
