hmm...
Slyroon did this one manually without an alias request, from what I can find. that -> blanket target seems like a mistake to me.

While I do not remember this alias, I don't really see how different a picnic blanket is from any other blanket, from a visual and tagging perspective.
What makes a picnic blanket visually distinct from other blankets, aside from context clues?
Seems a bit superfluous, since it's basically just picnic + blanket.

When I hear/see "blanket", I think something on a bed and which you cover yourself with for sleeping. A picnic blanket is typically a red-and-white checker pattern that's laid square outside on the grass to sit on.

well, part of the reason is that blanket implies bedding, which a picnic_blanket kind of isn't. also, visually and in usage I feel like a picnic blanket is actually closer to a cross between a tablecloth and a rug than a blanket.

Sure, I know what a blanket is and what a picnic blanket is. But from an e621 TWYS perspective, only the things around the blanket seem to determine what it gets classified as, not the item itself.

The bedding implication seems kind of limiting since "blanket" can be used for other things like picnic blankets and beach blankets.
That implication seemingly was also made without any input (I'm sensing a theme :3)
But then again, how much of a visual difference is there really between all three? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
