The tag alias #76716 samurai_sword -> katana is pending approval.

Reason: Katanas were not the only swords used by samurai, but when people say 'samurai sword' they mean katana (also Wikipedia has it as a redirect to katana).

i don't think we should alias an entire category of weapons to a common type of said weapon, even if that's what most people think of when they hear the term, it just wouldn't be correct

I originally said yes but the more I looked at the current uses, some of them don't look like katanas (at least to my untrained eyes)
There's a fair shot that people will call just about any east-asian sword a samurai sword if they don't know
