Topic: In which direction is reverse_forced_handjob?

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

We have tags for both forced_handjob and reverse_forced_handjob, but neither have wiki descriptions and their tagged posts overlap significantly. Based on similar tags, it seems like they should mean that forced_handjob is forcing a character to give a handjob and reverse_forced_handjob is forcing a character to receive a handjob, but in practice almost all of forced_handjob depicts the latter case, possibly because people aren't aware of reverse_forced_handjob?

There is also a related question of if these tags should implicate rape or sexual_assault, or both.

How should we standardize these?

Updated

I think we should make wikis defining them both and turn this into a tag project.
They probably shouldn't imply rape but should imply sexual assault.

So which one is being forced to have a handjob given to one, and which one is being forced to give one a handjob?

I hate the “reverse” tags for this reason. Why not change it to forced_to_give_handjob and forced_to_receive_handjob? They seem so much clearer to me tbh.

I think it might be because those are rather clunky tags. Though I do have to agree in this scenario, reverse tags should be changed to be clearer in a lot of scenarios. There are at least 6 reverse directions in 3D space and with tags we are practically working with 7 dimensions of meaning. It's all complex and the goal is ultimately to simplify it.

Exactly, a little bit clunky, but way more descriptive about what they mean.

Going by the precedent of similar tags, "forced to give" is standard and "forced to receive" is reverse.

They don't seem that unclear to me, but I haven't checked them thoroughly for mistags. There is also an argument that it's better for categorization and autocomplete for all "forced" tags to start with "forced". You're welcome to make a BUR to gauge user opinion.

It's not that they're unclear necessarily, they're just not very intuitive or the most convenient naming convention. Just slapping reverse as a prefix might make a database look more uniform, but it isn't optimal for a user upheld tagging system
