The tag alias #76323 dappled_sunlight -> dappled_light is pending approval.
Reason: Danbooru has the tag dappled_sunlight which is basically the same as e621's dappled_light. Adding this alias makes importing posts from Danbooru easier.

What’s with all the downvotes?

My vote is due to it only being used 3 distinct times by different people in the last 2 years (3m, 6m, 2y), and the general rule of not aliasing tags just to alias them applying here
the creator of the request has used it 6 times in the last 4 days, which is 1 less than the usage of every other user in the last 7 years
They're making alias requests like this because they don't want to spend the time to correct the tags they're importing from danbooru

In my opinion while theoretically valid, these aliases are encouraging lazy tagging behaviors

I believe my decision was based on their reasoning
Well, Danbooru and the user’s other aliases aside, the tag has been used before, aliasing wouldn’t interfere with autocomplete, and they seem practically synonymous. Unless we want to try to keep a separate tag for non-sun sources of dappled light for some reason…? I guess it could happen with moonlight, actually… but otherwise I don’t think this justifies rejecting the implication, even if it isn’t used much. I’ll reject an alias if it’s invalid or entirely pointless (or screws with autocomplete), but this doesn’t seem to check any of those boxes.
If it’s been used three times before, and had to be fixed by other users, I’m betting it will be used again, even without people copying tags from danbooru, and if that can be fixed preemptively by an alias… why not?
Just seeing now it only has 2 uses. If it was used more often, I would defend its existence for specifying natural/sun light but yeah it doesn't seem to be the case.
