the usage of "cumporeon" as an alias for "vaporeon" is very much confusing, "cumporeon" has been used in explicit content where the precise idea behind it was that a vapreon turns white due to the amount of cum in the vapreon. This is also mirrored in the current definition of "cumporeon"

"A Vaporeon who is all white or is made of semen in some way due to absorbing excessive amounts of it"

Maybe the change of the definition of "cumporeon" to only the following

"A Vaporeon who is all white or is made of semen in some way due to absorbing excessive amounts of it"

...might be a better way of resolving the previous issue instead of basically removing the "cumporeon" tag all together

additional information:

the definition of "cumporeon" generally is very much in itself precisely defining that "Not all white Vaporeon are cumporeons"

Why? it's an already established and quiet identifiable definition of exactly that

I don't really get the initial request of removing the usage of cumporeon... especially because the change is very much messy in its initial request

vaporeon is not really usefull of an alias in that regard, because it's not that explicit of a rerouting

this. i never got why they removed it too, i mean come on its a vaporeon that takes in cum in place of water for cryin out loud!!! how much more e6 can you get then that other than cheese graters

all it literally required was a redefinition, its a stage name that would make sense for an adult website as notefox said. we have the ingredients, we just disassembled the sandwich.

It would set a bad precedent. Why only vaporeon gets that special treatment, next people will argue for cumdragon, cumfox, cumwolf, then why only cum, why not watercat, firedog, grasself. We have tags to indicate a character being made of cum, water, etc, and much like hybrids, it would only create a mess to have a unique tag for every possible combination someone can come up with.

Most are just white vaporeons with a creampied hole.

That said, I wonder how many people have tagged firefox to a drawing of a fire-themed fox instead of the Mozilla one

If someone absolutely needs them categorized and searchable, use a public set.

I'd say cumporeon is special, because it plays with the idea of the creature, and uses a very well known meme.
It, from my point of view, is a meme tag, same as, for example sergal_cheesewheel.

cumdragon, cumfox, or similar, are not really a reference to anything outright, cumporeon is a different case

That is an issue with the definition of the original Tag, which I already pointed out in my original message

A tag being abused is also grounds for aliasing it away. A tag should have a consistent use, but if people think "cumporeon" is applicable to normal vaporeon with some cum in or on them, other people think it's applicable to vaporeon with a white body (without indication it's cum necessarily, just palette swapping the body color), and other people think it's applicable to white vaporeon that's dripping... it would be too much of a hassle to keep cleaning mistags, for little gain compared to the options already available.
