Wait, it IS April 1st, isn't it? With the way things are in the world nowadays, though, I'm surprised it IS a joke, and not ACTUALLY another layer of challenge-handshake security...

I had fun with it, honestly. And regardless of quality, seeing everyone posting their "ID" was rad.

I was fooled only for a split second, but then I had so much fun going through all the uploaded IDs all day and upvoting the submissions that I liked. Seeing so many people participate was truly special.

It also made me pick up my pen for the first time in a long while and got me to create something I'm honestly kinda proud of, so all in all I think this was pretty awesome.

I stopped observing April Fools' once I entered college, and was hoping that this site was actually getting screwed over by porn bans.

I think a lot of you have done a remarkable job considering the limited nature of the drawing palette and your lack of confidence in your own art skills. Plus, the range of ideas and approaches are quite interesting, even when the art itself doesn't quite get up to the usual site standards. I hope that at least some of you decide to keep at it and hone those skills.

I think it's the perfect April Fools joke! For a hot second after seeing the page I thought the bill in Arizona really did go through, and it gave me an excuse to draw (which is something I keep telling myself I should get into). And hey, it's about time that all of us who just come to this site to consume media give back to it a little with our own creations :P. So anyways, feast your eyes on the first fursona that I've ever created (in approximately 20 minutes). One day I might have a real one.

P.S. I do hope the mods keep the art around somehow.

This likely created at least a few new artists, and we also got a very helpful contribution to tagging_guidelines_illustrated post #5471835 and a pineapple that miraculously uses colors that weren't even on the tool post #5472637! And I'm just now realizing all the rule 34 sites that just copy our posts with bots get to see all this too. Yay!

ngl i fully forgot this site DOES do something every first. XD i was but a simpleton with mine because i aint much of an artist. would love to develop the skill just brains more story based i find at lest i got to do some thinking about scug oc (ngl i just prefer the full term it feels wrong ot my brain typing scug and not slugcat.)

A surprising number of people that don't post publicly uploaded what they drew. New, fresh artist blood can grease the wheels of the hexagon booru if some of these accounts post other drawings. Maybe even...using other programs...imagine...

E6 better find a way to shoehorn in another (less heart attack-inducing) community activity next year. Do it for the bump in original content.

Honestly, that brief moment where my heart sank, followed by the slow realization of the date bringing relief... I think that was pretty good. Ultimately lighthearted, but brings some much-needed attention to an ongoing issue in a way a news blurb just can't. Very memorable.

I felt compelled to go back in and try my hand at a more serious attempt after seeing what others had been posting. Working with such a limited tool was actually pretty fun. It's only really missing a couple more colors (a brown, notably) and maybe one slightly smaller brush option.

Y’all nearly lost me for life, I thought that shit was real. I will find myself a new place to nut instead of letting some third party associate my public fursona (tied to my legal business) with my private diaper kink. Admittedly, I am very bad at spotting jokes, but seriously. Some of us have our privacy for a reason.

This paint tool really needs permanent inclusion in the Tools section of the Site.

It really brought me back to how fun public Oekaki boards used to be with their limited tools and shared communities.
