"Based on" in what sense? An official spinoff or sub-series of sorts? Or something that looks similar but is otherwise unconnected? devil_connection doesn't have a wiki page, and makemon doesn't mention it. The only link I can find is makemon was created by bayachao, while devil_connection was created by "ChaoGames", who also made Nine-Tailed Okitsune Tale, which does seem to be bayachao's work. But I'm not seeing a connection to the makemon series beyond possibly having the same artist behind it.
