This would alias a more common tag to a less common one, but I believe this is justified as "lidded eyes" is the more natural phrasing.

I personally have never heard of the phrase "lidded eyes"

Lidded eyes sounds way too vague to me. It sounds like it could be anything ranging from fully closed eyes to making a specific point about the fact that a character has eyelids.

lidded needs a clean up but i think there are clear differences enough to keep them both.

I would describe the first image here to be lidded and the third to be narrowed. Lids don't need to be prominent for eyes to be lidded. (The second doesn't look to have partially closed eyes to me at all.)
