Reason: No reason for the tag to include all that extra information. It's not like there was a Motorola DynaTAC 8000x that isn't a portable analog cellular telephone

Also does it even need to be a copyright tag
I did add it to several posts, but it was in use already. Idk if it needs to be copyright though. I generally follow the lead of cars & game consoles where both make and model are copyright. There are posts tagged with brick_phone but not this tag as they're too generic to be able to definitely say it's this model
That's worse than that one bug that looks like a croissant that you can freeze and use as a platform or hollyhock_manheim-mannheim-guerrero-robinson-zilberschlag-hsung-fonzerelli-mcquack_(bojack_horseman). :\ It doesn't even have humor going for it. It ought to go, especially since we can have a shorter name for it.

If we go by other specific tech devices like the iPad, then yes. It should imply Motorola, though.

It was probably a misclick by someone. Character is right under Copyright on the tag category change dropdown. It's not hard to see the initial C and get the wrong one by accident. I've done it a few times, though I've caught them in time so far.

Agreed, it should imply motorola; should also imply cellphone imho (prolly should have dun a bur instead of just this, sorry)
As for the Nokia, I would argue it belongs in copyright also
