Topic: [REJECTED] Flexing Biceps

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The bulk update request #10740 has been rejected.

remove implication flexing_both_biceps (1238) -> flexing_bicep (4462)

Reason: After that we should 'implicate flexing_both_biceps -> flexing_biceps' (it doesn't let me do that in one request).

The logic is:
Flexing both biceps should imply flexing biceps; then
flexing biceps should imply flexing bicep.

The way it is now flexing both biceps does not imply flexing biceps, but it should.

EDIT: The bulk update request #10740 (forum #443295) has been rejected by @romanicyte2.

we intentionally only keep one of a tag's plural/singular form, depending on which makes more sense
having both is just asking for misuse, and the other variant should either not be used at all (the option we use in most cases), or better worded to ensure it gets used properly
either way the other variant is worded differently and the singular/plural is aliased into the one we chose to keep

We have this exact situation already, flexcing biceps is aliased to the singular flexing bicep, and flexing both biceps is used for the plural
I'm also not sure what your end goal in a flexing both biceps -> flexing biceps implication is, these two tags would be redundant

Oops, I misread it. I thought flexing biceps implied flexing bicep. In this case I will reject the request later.

But that is kinda misleading, why is there a fully edited wiki page for a tag that cannot be voted on anymore, and even links to said page on other tags? Just to make people confused?

Wiki pages aren't just tossed out the window when the tag is aliased away
Other wiki pages are also not automatically updated when aliases happen, all of this is manual

So it's like this because no one has bothered changing things
