Before I approve that, I have to ask if anyone more familiar with the Armored Core series knows if armored_core_vi:_fires_of_rubicon is distinct enough to keep as a separate tag. Wikipedia says it’s a "reboot of the series, unrelated to any past games", which makes me wary about getting rid of it. I’m completely unfamiliar with this series, though, so I’m not sure. Is it like a Final Fantasy situation where the entire cast and setting is basically unique to this game, or is it more like a reskin of the older games, reusing the same characters and such?

Final fantasy style mostly. It's series 1 and 2 being the same timeline, 3 being second timeline(mostly, it has some alternates), 4 and 5 being a third timeline, and 6 being a new start again.

Concepts, stylings and sometimes character names get carried over, but are quite distinct. It's like many final fantasy games have Cid, moogles and chocobos, but they have little to do with eachother.
