Topic: Useless button on post page

Posted under Site Bug Reports & Feature Requests

If there are hidden comments on a post, it'll count to the total comment number on the search page (duh) but it will also put a "show all comments" button ON the post page, which does nothing except go away when clicked. This button only appears on posts with at least 1 hidden comment, and it shows at the top of the comment section.

It's for comments that may be hidden by your automatic "don't show comments over x number of downvotes"

Also pretty useful as an indicator for when comments have been hidden

There are far more useless buttons around.

My comment threshold is -10000, so unless hidden comments do that then I don't see why it should be there. If you want an indicator that there are hidden comments, make an indicator for hidden comments. Not a button.

It shows up for comments hidden by other users. As I said it's useful to know when they've hid stuff
