Reason: Phorusracos is the very genus of terror birds the family is named after, and there are 3 posts on the site tagged as it. The tag, however, implicates nothing.

As for the alias, both seem to currently be in use but there seems to be very high overlap and I don't see any difference between these two spellings.

Oh, that would have indeed been useful to know. But oh well, I hope it's not too much of an issue I did what I did here. Thank you for letting me know, I am still quite confused about the way the forums here function.
