Topic: Terminology changes for tags relating to hermaphroditism - too many to BUR

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

I find it fairly frustrating that the herm tag is strictly a feminine gender tag despite the word "hermaphrodite" being inherently gender neutral in the only other physical way besides being totally genderless/null-gender. I feel like herm should just be part of the intersex tag (not sure if via alias or implication), and the role it currently plays be tagged with something along the lines of "gynoherm" to specifically point out that the tag will filter by hermaphroditic characters exhibiting female traits. Likewise, the maleherm tag should just be renamed to something like "androherm" to filter by hermaphroditic characters exhibiting male traits, if for no other reason but to help these two tags follow the same naming convention as the gynomorph and andromorph tags. My specific gripe with maleherm is that it's pretty insensitive to Salmacian and intersex individuals who exhibit male traits but do not identify as the male gender like myself.

I tried to do a BUR, but I'm not experienced with that kind of stuff on this site, and I'd have to make like 5 bulk requests just to cover all the affected tags explicitly mentioned in the gender tags wiki page on here (wiki_pages/12159) due to the apparent limit of 25 entries. What do you all think about this sort of change?
To summarize: gynoherm to replace herm, and androherm to replace maleherm. It just makes more sense that way IMO.

It's technically not. herm is for a character that visibly possesses a penis, vagina, and breasts (in contrast, maleherm is for a character that visibly possesses a penis, vagina, and no breasts). People like to conflate it with being a "feminine gender" because a lot of such characters are depicted with a feminine body frame and face, but the tag applies equally to a masculine body frame and face so long as the character has the requisite parts.

You're gonna need a hell of a lot more than 5 BURs, especially because the herm and maleherm tags are so wide reaching. And you can't alias them directly through a BUR because of the transitives. It's gonna be a hell of a lot worse than pussy juice -> vaginal fluids change and that was quite a bit
