Topic: [APPROVED] Tag alias: lolidom -> dominant_young

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The tag alias #75147 lolidom -> dominant_young has been approved.

Reason: This is effectively the same as dominant_young dominant_female so the tag is redundant. Not exactly the same, but I think the tag is just unnecessary. Dominant young doesn't need to be further subdivided into fem and masc variants.

EDIT: The tag alias lolidom -> dominant_young (forum #438407) has been approved by @spe.

Loli/shota references ought to be retired anyway, so I approve.

I agree, though the fate of the loli and shota tags is a discussion for a different thread.

I wouldn't feel comfortable even considering getting rid of these until we figure out the other half of the problem.

Hinging getting rid of those tags (which are poorly defined and really are not good blacklist targets) on a tag that kinda maybe sorta might exist some day is real dumb, we should have tossed them out with the cub apocalypse

I mean if that's your stance, okay. I still stand by that I think that the usecase for loli/shota is valid and the want for a way to lable explicit/questionable content that contains young characters who are not part of explicit activity is also valid, and I've yet to be convinced otherwise over the past... apparently only like 1.5 years that we've been having this discussion, (feels like longer).

I never said that the idea of the tag wasn't valid? I think holding off on getting rid of loli and shota for that tag is dumb, as I said the two are poorly defined (neither of them mentions that the underage character needs to be involved in the explicit activities, so they are as effective as blacklisting young -rating:s) (they also both mention Please keep in mind not every loli/shota will actually be underaged, as the phrase itself is mostly used to describe a "youthful appearance". which is confusing wording, this sounds like the tags apply to of age characters that have an even remotely youthful appearance, i.e. characters which would not be tagged young)
Their gender restrictions (not to mention the skewed implications, loli implies female however shota does not imply male)
These tags need to be thrown away regardless, there's no point in waiting for some magical savior tag to take over the piss poor job they do

And while loli -female is impossible to judge because of the implication, all of shota -male/loli rating:s/shota rating:s should be empty, but no one seems to want to upkeep these tags
