The problem I have with this is that a lot of these names are extremely generic.

charles smith, in particular, is also the name of a real-life cowboy of some notoriety who lived in the same time and place that the game is set in, so attributing that name to the game sounds like a bad idea. It's also the name of about 130 other relatively famous people, showing how generic that name is.

Quite a few of these names refer to real-life people, at least that I could find on Wikipedia (mostly politicians and sports players), though most of them aren't especially noteworthy. Still, some of these really common-sounding names like karen jones and bill williamson could just as easily end up being someone's OC that we'll have to disambiguate later, so I'm not terribly happy about leaving them without an identifying suffix. Obviously, some of them like dutch van der linde are already very unique and will likely never have any conflicts, but there's a lot in the middle that I'm not sure about. Like, I don't know where to draw the line between what needs a suffix and what doesn't. I just feel like some of these are likely to cause us trouble some day if we don't, and I'd rather avoid that.
