Is there a visual difference between an equine sheath and any other sheath? (genuine question, I don't know)

I feel too many people would use it to mean equine+sheath or horse+sheath, irrespective of what it actually looks like or regardless of enough detail being present to distinguish it from any other sheaths.

Ok. I looked through some equine_sheaths and they really look about the same as any other sheath to me. :P

I asked because maybe there's some small aspect I'm overlooking. I'm not a sheath enthusiast

I think equine sheaths are more loose with more skin folds than for example a canine sheath, especially in the opening, which is most visible when the penis is fully sheathed.

These are probably the clearest examples, but there probably is a bit of an issue of people adding this tag to posts where these details aren't very visible.

What's stopping an artist from depicting a non-equine penis (eg. a knotted canine penis) with an equine sheath?

I agree that it should imply sheath (or be aliased to sheath), but I disagree that it should imply equine_genitalia.

I'm not sure I understand the problem, sheath is already considered genitalia because it implies animal genitalia. So wouldn't that make equine sheath a valid type of equine genitalia regardless of what other types of genitalia it may be paired with?
