Topic: [REJECTED] Tag alias: ghost_hand -> ghost_hands

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The tag alias #63583 ghost_hand -> ghost_hands has been rejected.

Reason: It doesn't seem like singular vs plural matters enough to warrant separate tags, although I don't personally care if it's this way or vice versa. If they are to be kept separate, they both need to be cleaned up anyway: many of each should be tagged with the other.

EDIT: The tag alias ghost_hand -> ghost_hands (forum #373203) has been rejected by @Deleuzian_Cattery.

I do agree they should be aliased, but I'd prefer the reverse. It's not that unlikely for an image to have a single ghost hand, and having the tag plural when there's only one is undesirable.

I feel they need to be aliased to disembodied_hand, I'm not motivated enough to do it myself, however.

They're different things. A ghost hand is typically translucent, perhaps whispy, while a disembodied hand can be opaque and fleshy. A ghost hand doesn't need to be disembodied either, it can also be attached to a (non-ghostly) arm.
