Not particularly self-explanatory. A back_bulge sounds like it's for a bulge on the back (like an abdominal_bulge is a bulge on the abdomen), which would be separate from a bulge (which is a crotch bulge, with clothing).

That was my first thought, too. I don't see why we can't go with existing precedent like butt_from_the_front or (mentioned in this very post) camel_toe_from_behind.
