Topic: [APPROVED] Tag implication: park_bench -> bench

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

I'm kinda leaning towards an alias, not sure what need we'd have to distinguish a bench from a park bench.

The tag alias #57771 park_bench -> bench has been rejected.

Okay, now we can vote here on both options.
Hmm, I've seen someone adding a second (different) implication/alias request as a reply to an existing one but this doesn't seem to work...

The second request as a reply is done using a BUR rather than the older implication/alias request. BURs allow users to append it to an existing thread.

Staff can set alias and implication requests to existing threads, but otherwise yeah, it's only possible with BURs for us.

I would prefer an implication. The kinds of benches you see in parks are quite visually distinct from the type you see in, say, a locker room.

Almost all park benches have back rest. Locker room benches and most other benches do not.

Park bench is peculiar, as it is actually a rudimentary wooden/metal sofa. The sofa of the bench world.

Of course there are park benches without the back rest, but they can be identified only by their surrounding.
