Reason: Based on community reaction to topic #28614 and topic #26364 and topic #4857

If female_penetrating_male does not apply to pegging, then male/female and male don't either, since by necessity it involves a character penetrating another character. Many users have voiced their opposition to the gender specificity of the wiki.

The implication to sex_toy is redundant, since it already implies toying_partner (which already implies sex_toy).

I'm still of the mind that pegging should implicate female_penetrating_male, as that is what all other places I've looked at define that term as, so while removing the sex_toy and male implications is fine since they're already implicated through other tags, also removing male/female without implicating female_penetrating_male in its place is wrong, IMO.

I'm confused why pegging is utilized in such a specific manner (mostly in terms of it's gender specificity). I understand pegging is more-or-less defined elsewhere as "when a male receives anal_penetration from a female wearing a strapon/feeldoe", though I'm unsure why this definition should remain in place when a non-female character could be on the penetrating end of pegging, or when a non-male character could be on the receiving end of pegging. Additionally, most of the sexual tags that are utilized here aren't restricted to particular genders in this way.

To me, a better definition for pegging would be "when a character receives anal_penetration from another character wearing a strapon/feeldoe". That way folks can find instances of pegging that includes other genders, and folks can still search for pegging + female_penetrating_male.

Because then it's just sex. Pegging is specifically a straight role-reversal kink. Taking a typical straight male-on-female sexual interaction, and flipping it around such that not only is the female taking charge, but the male is being penetrated, and still technically leaving it as straight sex. An andromorph-on-gynomorph or female-on-female interaction doesn't hold the same qualities that people expect out of pegging. If you want to expand the definition beyond what everyone else uses, why stop at wearing a strapon/feeldoe and not include penis covers or any phallic object? Why stop at anal penetration, and not include vaginal/oral/cloacal penetration?

My apologies if this is hitting any raw nerves, I don't know whether or not this is a touchy subject. I thought that the strapon/feeldoe and anal_penetration aspects were the key components of the pegging kink, and that the genders of the participants didn't matter. I could be wrong in this assumption, but this is what I thought.

The way pegging is utilized here seems mixed. The wiki definition here is the definition used on most websites and most posts tagged with pegging are female_penetrating_male. However, there are several posts tagged with pegging that includes cases of intersex characters and female_penetrating_female.

No worries here. Not touchy for me at all, I just think it's more useful to leave as female_penetrating_male + anal_penetration + strap_on/feeldoe (with role_reversal and female_domination overtones). The more you move away from that, the less useful it is as a tag altogether, I feel. The proposed definition of "when a character receives anal_penetration from another character wearing a strapon/feeldoe" feels like it would be largely covered by strap_on/feeldoe + anal_penetration (and where ambiguous_penetration could cause issues for people searching, blacklisting, or tagging).

As it is currently, some changes are needed. It's currently implicating male/female, when female_penetrating_male + anal_penetration + role_reversal + toying_partner would be more appropriate given the current definition (interestingly, it also implicates just male, which is already covered by male/female...). However if the definition is to change to not depend on the characters' sex, nor be related to role reversal or female domination, male/female (and male) isn't an appropriate implication and it should just be anal_penetration + toying_partner instead.

I still think that pegging would be a much more useful tag if it applied to any character who has no penis (female, andromorph, and in rare cases ambiguous_gender) anally penetrating a character with a penis and no pussy (male and gynomorph) using a hip-based dildo, and not just female_penetrating_male posts, it's a situation that's specific enough to want to find images of it but it's difficult to find without using really long searches because no one wants to slightly change the definition of a tag.
honestly, as it stands now that we have x/p/y as a tag group that's pretty well populated, pegging, as a tag, is pretty much totally deprecated. if every post was tagged perfectly fm/p/m ~strapon_sex ~feeldoe should get you nearly the same posts as pegging would. also it's implications are all totally out of wack because no one really knows what they want it to be now.
