Did you try reading the tag? It's not krystal, it's krystal_fox.

hmm, I think that it could be easily mistaken. Maybe

krystal -> krystal_(disambiguation)

with current content being transferred to a tag such as krystal_(starfox)

I won't mind the yokai being krystal_fox_(yo-kai_watch), just as long as it's using the proper yokai name.

_(starfox)

should be _(star_fox) btw. Removing the space is a colloquialism.

On that note, required aliases:
amanda_(starfox)->amanda_(star_fox)
starfox_adventures ->star_fox_adventures
starfox_assault->star_fox_assault

On the matter of whether to leave krystal as is, it makes sense from a practical standpoint but at which point does a character/species/taggable entity become "well known" enough to get this kind of special treatment with tagging? I was under the impression we're supposed to be tagging with no external knowledge beyond being an established character and belonging to a particular IP?

I feel that creating a disambiguation page for Krystal which has over 6000 posts for a tag with only 20 posts is not worth it.

So many people will have to needlessly hit the disambiguation page, and then have to type extra characters to find the Krystal character. Is it really worth wiping the tag when we can just move the rare exceptions into their own tags?

Tagging itself is done on a TWYS basis. But the discussion at hand, what tags should be used and how they should aliased, should relate to user experience and ease of tagging. TheVileOne is exactly right that the potential gains of disambiguating krystal are minor compared to the benefits of maintaining one of the oldest tags for an iconic character. The typical user will want to be able to search and tag Krystal using the krystal tag.

It should be fine for now to alias krystal directly to krystal_(star_fox). Krystal Fox doesn't seem to be grabbing any more attention just yet, so no disambiguation is needed for now, and a direct alias means that people can still use the old tag.
