Reason:

Sounding and urethral penetration are different depending on genitals, so it makes sense to seperate male/penis sounding and female/vaginal sounding.
The problem with "female_sounding" is, that it excludes cboys and maleherms.

+1. Aliasing to a non-gendered tag is the best in these matters. Also it should imply urethral

-1. the thing is that vaginal implies that.. there is vaginal going on which is literally impossible if its urethral. vagina does not mean the genitalia as whole, it means ONLY the meat tube that connects into uterus.

pussy_sounding would be better option since it does not have the implication of completely different hole getting penetrated.

Any updates on this? I've populated the tag with pretty much everything I could find, but the name still seems awkward considering the intersex usages.

The alias request was initially for vaginal_sounding and got approved without first changing it to pussy_sounding. Likely an oversight.

It's a big step up from the previous name for the tag.
Rather than complaining you can go make an alias request yourself.
