Depending on what people think, this could instead be aliased to pearl_(disambiguation), in case someone using the tag might be referring to an image containing multiple characters of the "pearl" race(?) from Steven Universe

+1 for aliasing pearls -> pearl_(gem). From what I can tell after a quick glance through the tag, it seems to be used as an unnecessary plural of pearl_(gem) with significant (but not exclusive) overlap with pearl_necklace.

A disambiguation is probably unnecessary since the race you may be referring to are the gem_(species) and a character from the series is tagged as pearl_(steven_universe).
