Topic: Tag Implication: balloon -> inflatable

I dislike this. Inflatable is pretty much synonymous with pool_toy to much of the community that I know of.

Yes, balloons are, as per the definition of the word "inflatable" - but it's not widely known as "an inflatable" as a Noun.

Now everything that has a balloon in the background falls into a search for the "inflatable" tag, and not every post with pooltoy is also tagged inflatable (even when it should be).

And for the love of god, please don't auto-alias these too.

I'm not sure I understand your argument here. Pool_toy is still very much a usable tag. Unless you're wanting actual inflatable characters, in which case there's living_inflatable. Neither of these tags have gone anywhere. And if there's posts missing the inflatable tag when they should have it, then you can always add it yourself.

I'm also not sure what you're meaning by "auto-alias", since nothing was aliased here, and these alias and implication requests are still looked at manually.

I don't know which community you're referencing, but in english, an inflatable is something that can be inflated, either as a noun or adjective. I don't see why the inflatable tag should be restricted to only certain types of inflatables.
