Topic: Tag Implication: latius -> hybrid

Implicating latius → hybrid
Link to implication

Reason:

As stated in the Latius wiki page, a Latius is a hybrid of a Latios and a Latias. So Latius should imply Latios, Latias and Hybrid.

(And even though the tags aren't yet in use, Mega_Latius_A would implicate Mega_Latias, and Mega_Latius_O would imply Mega_Latios. This is because, like Mega Charizard, a Latius has two Mega forms, which suppress part of one Eon in one way, and the other in another, to allow the Mega Evolution. I know I had a ref of them done, but I can't remember whom it was who did it.)

EDIT: The tag implication latius -> hybrid (forum #209516) has been rejected by @gattonero2001.

Since this species only applies to one character, always uploaded by a single user, I think it should be manually tagged as latias latios hybrid instead of inventing a new species. Also have you considered the term lati@s? That's what's generally used to refer to both species.

I did, but how would one pronounce such a word? At least Latius (as in Lati-us with regards to pronunciation) is easier to understand. Plus, that tag you suggested is empty.

And yes, right now I'm the only one putting up images of said form, mainly due to the DNP rules I currently have on the character. But putting down Latius on it's own is slightly quicker than putting all three of those tags manually.

Then again, thinking about it, what if someone wanted to see an image of the hybrid form as long as there's no Latias in it as well? In that case, this set of implications I mentioned in addition might not work out that well, but it could justify having Latius as a separate tag.

Also, that looks more like chimera than just hybrid.

You have a point there, in the term of Mixed Beast.

May I recommend character:latius?

Latius isn't the name of the character, but the name they give to his species. But Latius_(Species) might work as a character tag.

You know a mega latios and mega latias look almost identical, right?

I do. Which is why it'd be hard to TWYS the two.

What does it matter how you pronounce a written word? Write it as Lati@s and pronounce it however you want, even if that ends up being "Latius."
Can't say I understand your desire to use "Latius" when it pronounces exactly like "Latias" though, "Lati-eh-ohs" or "Lati-ats" (Lati@s) would at least be a unique pronunciation.

I mean the last syllable would sound like the word, us.

Latias's pronunciation can sound like "Us" easily enough, though, so you're pretty much just saying "Latias" every time you say "Latius."

Huh. I always pronounce Latias with an 'as'-like sound, though. So it might just be me, thinking that there's different pronouncations.
