Aliasing twink → male
Link to alias

Reason:

Twink , from urban dictionary and other sources ( 1) 2 3 ), means a male whom is (supposedly) gay that is found attractive. This makes it an opinion-based tag, and the site avoids using such tags. The two other tags linked have already been aliased away. Instead of aliasing it into invalid tag, I believe aliasing it into the closest tag it can get is the best course of action. And, aliasing it into girly is a generalization which may not be correct by TWYS) .

I wish its usage was more focused, so we could alias it into a body shape tag (such as athletic), but this clearly isn't the case.

+1 for alias or possible invalidation

+1 (even though my vote ultimately doesn't matter lol), because the term twink is a little too ambiguous.

Votes do matter in a way, if you give good reasons for or against.

I think it should be aliased to Girly, since I always thought twink meant effimenate male.

-1 for the OP's suggestion

+1 for invalid_tag. When I searched for "twink -male", there were only 4 results. 3 of them are clearly male by TWYS, so I fixed their tagging (1 post I never want to see again was tagged Twink because it was a character name), and the other one was post #867235, which is too ambiguous to be tagged with a gender to me.

I don't get why you'd want it aliased to invalid_tag rather than male, when you pretty much demonstrated in your post that the alias to male is valid. You realize invalidating it causes more work than aliasing it to a useful tag, right?

+1 for male.

Attractive male isn't same as girly male.

Twink is slang for a very specific, feminine, male build.
You would not use twink to describe a muscular guy or a movie star, for the most part, but people can consider both of those attractive.

A very specific male build yes. A very specific feminine male build, no.

And those zorrore examples are bad examples.

Skinny, narrow shoulders, wider hips, traditionally female clothing.
Feminine = girly.

Twink has always been an ambiguous and confusing term in gay slang, with many using it as just a substitute word for femboy (see Ruku's examples), some lazily slapping it onto pretty much any skinny guy that looks a bit non-dom (this can be seen regularly on porn vid hubs), and others aiming strictly for a very specific type of male.

Like... svelte but athletic young guys (like a swimmer body, some definition without being built) that aren't exactly manly-looking but not necessarily downright feminine either. Preferably with a handsome, boyish face. So overall a bit androgynous with a decent hint of sportiness. No decidedly female-like proportions like birthing hips, no crossdressing beyond really lightweight stuff, no girly haircuts, nun o' dat.

Think this one fits that description very well. Or this, for a real-life example.

I've been treating the tag like this for some time, but I have to admit it's pretty hard to judge where exactly the line between that kind of twink and a regular athletic guy should be drawn (guess a lot of it hinges on demeanor too), and you really can't expect the community at large to make mostly right calls with this kind of guideline, that's actually still pretty vague.

I mean, people have enough difficulty tagging unanimously with some much less finicky tags than this one would be.

And because like 80-90% does seem to view twink as simply another way of saying girly, at least judging by the current posts, an alias to the latter is probably the most sensible course of action here. Would mean we'd have to retag a few posts, like this one or this that could be twinks under the above standards but definitely wouldn't fall under our definition of girly quite yet.

Still a little bit of a shame though, I think a tag for guys like Tymbur (in that particular pic and maybe one or two others; he's more typically girly in the rest) would be an asset. But again, probably too vague to be really usable.
