YES!!! šŸ˜„

I’m at a certain subscriber count on YouTube that I can finally use ā€œcommunity postsā€! Just posted one today. Hope it gets word out soon. :D

There was two minutes left before my download finished and my internet fucked off and won't reconnect.
I'm mad.

It seems Twitch finally fucking fixed account connections so I'll continue where I left off Monday night.

Don't expect me to be in a great mood either.

@vex714: I already tried spinning the disc manually. It worked the first time, but then that stopped working too. And I did try some different angles, but that only makes the image fucky in different ways. I've pretty much tried everything short of heat-blasting it. I think I'll just take it to the repair shop down the street and ask if he can look the traces over sometime, whenever I can be bothered to take the whole thing apart yet again. It's not too complex to take apart, but it's still a bit of a hassle when you have to keep doing it

idk if youve tried this or if it will even work but have you tried to push the disc cover down whilst its playing? just something i remember the 3DO console had to do

@Pink_Hat: I’m not exactly the best at this, but I can think of some things to get it running. Try spinning the disc by hand while it’s still in the system and close it? Play the disc while the system is upside down? It was starting, so it’s probably not a pcb issue. Could be a PSU issue or an optical drive thing, but yea, I hope things will work for the system.

@vex714: Update, I took it a bit more apart and discovered what seems to be an old soda-spill in the serial port or something, the underside of the main PCB is all yucky, so now I'm giving it a thorough clean in the hopes that it'll help

@vex714: Already done pretty much all of that, I've pretty much narrowed it down to being something on one of the PCBs. I spend hours just messing with all those things and more the day I got it, but nothing ever seemed to do the trick. But I have a few things left to try, so hopefully those'll do it. I just wanna see this thing work so bad

Man. I got a cheap PS1 recently and it.. almost works. It's in pristine condition but it doesn't always boot right. So I took it to the phone repair shop down the street and had the guy take a look at it, and after pressing it a bit in a few places, it started booting perfectly every time. But now after getting it back home and putting it back together, it's back to not working. I don't even need it to work, I already have a PSOne, but at this point I just want it to work for the sake of it. It's in beautiful condition so it's such a shame to see it not working right...

It’s raining at 42F degree weather here. With slight chance of blistering winds.

If I wanted it to rain fucking acid, I could’ve asked!

e621, Oh! This seems the perfect time to ask him if he's a robot, while erasing all the changes he did.

With Halloween coming up, I never really liked to do trick-o-treating when I was a small husk. I just use the holiday as an excuse to cosplay tbh
