Well that’s odd… and oddly enough, returning this call is obsolete now. So they just blindly look for people all over the world to find help for their business? If so, why in the U.S. specifically? 🤷‍♂️

Anyways, many thanks for the help, Furret. :v

Odds are they got your number from a 'number bank' they bought or skimmed off some retailer. Especially if your phone number was previously associated with a chat service or possibly registered with a business. That happened to me and my partner, three times between us. Mistaken identity every time, including one that hilariously assumed we were a cabaret club looking to 'import hostesses.'

You're welcome. Helpful noodle is helpful. :3

Oh hey, I recognize these. Automated robocaller, I believe trying to get you into a business relationship. I'm pretty sure I heard "guanxi" in there, which is the term for business networking in Chinese.

What's weird is that they usually do this by means of things like Whatsapp so getting it as a traditional phonecall is unusual.

Does anyone here speak Chinese?

3 weeks ago, I received a voicemail from China. (Don’t know why)

Can anyone translate? The speaker toggle is at the top right corner of this video if you’re wondering where’s the audio.

Polder sounds like something delicious, and I would've eaten it if not for the fact that it's just what Dutch people define as land below the water level that is surrounded by embankments and subsequently dried.

I'm not one of them hoity-toity webdevs, but I'm like 87.4% sure that the session exists as a cookie or cookies on the client side, which incognito mode by definition should be deleting upon closing and has no effect on the server either way (apart from possibly updating a "last seen" database field or somesuch, but not taking up any additional resources).

I can see that's how it works with the "Remember me" or "Keep logged in" checkboxes. But the few times I forgot to log out of dA and FA, I could still see the previous sessions when I logged back in, that I could then thankfully log out in the current session. I don't know if e621 works the same way (probably doesn't since there's no session management settings), but I'm still just gonna log out every time just in case. Thanks for the theory anyhows.

Is there a page stating that western name order should be used for tagging or did I imagine that?

Hey any mods, how do I request a character tag be added, or how do I make one. Saw a post that has morph from treasure planet (one of the best movies ever) post #3995307 while the post is lacking. As one of the best support characters, Morph deserves his own tag.

I'm not a mod, but this is what I do:
1. Add the character name as a tag (in this case morph_(treasure_planet)).
2. Go to Tags.
3. Find the new tag you just created (use the search bar).
4. Click on "edit".
5. There'll be a drop down menu, pick "character".

I fear that exiting the site on incognito without logging out first would accumulate logged in sessions that I can't do anything about anymore, and I fear that this might overload the server in some way.

For the record, I used to never log out, but right now I've probably done more times logging out first than just closing the browser right away.

So...it gets better. Turns out the ass shooting was an accident. A local acquaintance of ours, big guy by name of Kent, was on the field and his trigger discipline was horrible. Like, "please do not ever let this man near an actual firearm" level of horrible.

My partner got pointblanked in the ass because Kent had to scratch his back but didn't want to put down his paintball gun.

Apparently they called him some things that are kind-of sort-of spelled very similar to "You big dumb Kent" that I can't print in public.

Your partner nearly had a 2nd asshole courtesy of another asshole. Finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot. That's basic firearms safety.

You may be amused to learn that as of this morning, the shot ass produced a final bruise that looks almost exactly like an ace of spades.

Fortunately there weren't any other injuries, besides to their pride.
