Sick and tired of these fucking royalty advertisement scams.

Distrokid is my only means of conveyance…

Those are still a thing? I thought they kinda died down after all of these Youtube videos exposing them as scams.

Edit: Oh wait, you mean royalty as in the licensing thing, not Established Titles. You even mentioned Distrokid, but somehow that didn't register with me for a second.

I'm nearly out of drinking water. Normally I'd just boil the tap water but I don't really trust it anymore after the algae/moss thing. There's a lot of football fans outside on my street and I'm honestly very scared to go anywhere. I haven't had dinner either.

It really does feel like I'm in early game Project Zomboid just holed up in a house with the windows and doors blocked.

I used to hate having an uncovered window at night, but for some reason having just a sliver of gap between the curtain and the windowsill feels kinda cozy to me. If this is a mental manipulation done by whatever boogeyman to eventually end up with me sleeping with my window open, then well. Just do it quickly my dude.

How am I supposed to determine which post is superior?

Also in case you didn't know, you can see the resolution by scrolling down and looking at the sidebar, where the filetype will also be found.

I think for some reason people often overlook this part of the page given how many people I've seen that were confused about blacklisting or not knowing how to edit tags.

In hindsight, sending my friends a penectomy GIF as a reaction image was not the best idea I've ever had. o_o

That was glorious. I should've drawn something better than just my previous avatar.

One should have not underestimated the turning radius of a city bus. Apologies goes to the driver of the Soliad Wensleydale or whatever. I did not mean to have to exchange insurance informations.

Truly a beaming of the. drive.

Interesting how the official Sims 2 re-release by EA is missing the IKEA stuff pack. There's a quite popular but unofficial repack on the high seas that suspiciously shares this similarity.

It's also interesting how apparently the re-release runs well on Steam Deck, even though its entry on WineHQ rated it as "Garbage". Makes me think that the only thing stopping it from running on Linux this whole time was SecuROM.

Actually I wonder what would happen if

only the first Q is capitalized

or only the second one is capitalized.

Or what about mixed case?

Edit: They all stay!

however, if you capitalize
and
the reply parcer won't catch it but the quote block will still display as expected.

Hmmm, on one hand, nested quotes won't be broken when someone replies and be confusing to those who don't know much about DText. On the other, they will have to be manually deleted if a reply chain gets too long, which someone who doesn't know much about DText probably won't do.

I feel like most of the time you see a "read more" or similar button at the end of a partial bit of text it expands out on the current page.

I second this. I haven't personally seen cases where "read more" with obstructed text leads to a new page instead of expanding it, it may be more common on other places like news sites or the like (I don't really frequent those). But yeah, when I clicked that button on e6, I expected the text to be revealed in full just like how it works on YouTube.

I guess what could potentially solve this issue is by making "read more" more obvious as a link and and not covering the text like it can be revealed, maybe by cutting it off with ellipsis instead.

So I got bored and decided to look up banger racing on YouTube, and I was kinda surprised when I first saw the cars they used. Like, I guess it makes sense. If they were using 80s cars back in the 2000s, then they'd be using 2000s cars now. But idk, I just didn't expect to see clear coat on a dirt oval.

Someone I look up to favved my art, commented on it, and watched me on FA. I think I'm going to shrink to negative size and turn inside out like a 3D model with inverted faces

Fun fact: Hatsune Miku's colour scheme is based on the Yamaha DX7 Digital FM Synthesizer from 1983, of which I own its spiritual successor.

Yo wth I didn't know that. Both of those actually look sick aesthetically, it's awesome!

Final day of 2024 let's goooo
I spent most of the day feeling unwell and sleeping on my bed lmao
For 2025 I wish to be more social and actually interact in the groups I'm in. I mean, I'm already more social now by actually having irl friends and stuff, but I also don't want to be a brick wall when it comes to online interaction

Hi! Welcome back!

Finals week has ended. Now it's finally the time of the year where I can do nothing meaningful without feeling like a freeloading loser.

Turns out, I don't hate socializing. I just hate talking to people who have no idea what the hell am I on about.

Btw, I have irl friends now. Would you believe that I'm not the only furry who lives within 100 miles of my home?

If you know of someone named T. Eliot, just know that their name spells "toilet" backwards. Use this information cautiously.

Have you ever discovered a tag that has a low post count, and then you see a post that fits that tag, and then you go like, "oh poggers" and then add it there?

Idk if people still say poggers. The last time it's ever used is probably two minutes ago by me.

SONY does the same thing except with a serif font.

but at least there's no real ambiguity as to who it's for. better than having something like Patreon's current tiny inkstain logo that occasionally looks like a weird splotch on a character or the Epic Games Store's weird DS game cart-looking rectangle with text that is just completely unrecognizable when shown at the end of a trailer, y'know, just its most important application.

Good point, yeah. The mark being just a text automatically makes it recognizable, and kinda timeless as well, so it doesn't have to be redesigned into an unfamiliar or even indistinguishable form.

It's one reason why I plan to sign "daleport996" on my art, instead of just the conjoined dp'96 signature.

@dba_afish: I guess that makes sense. Maybe I just haven't been out enough to really see its effect.

@Dragonlord2328: I usually only go to e6 on my laptop. Only recently have I been accessing it on my phone, though, usually only for blips.

In response to blip #127508

@Dragonlord2328: Same. Apart from maybe 2 people that I grew up with, I don't think anyone else has heard of furries around where I live. It honestly kinda makes me feel safe to publicly show (SFW) furry art, but also boring that nobody really gets the stuff I'm interested in.

Eating fruit is delicious. I bought an orange, and then I ate it. Best intake of vitamin C I've had all week. Disregarding the fact that I did not eat any other fruit this week.

In response to blip #127347

@dba_afish: I think it's because tomatoes are kinda sweet tasting. Closer to what people generally think of fruits as this sweet part of the plant that you can eat. Unlike most types of vegetables.

It's also because people first heard about most science "facts" like that when they're kids, and kids are extremely gullible and impressionable. And depending on how the school educates them, or even just how strict the teachers are, students might not even bother to question whether what they learn from the book is true. A lot of schools recently have adopted a more explorative kind of learning in their curriculum. But a lot also haven't.

Yay! Instead of having a summer vacation like everyone else, I'm required to do the "short semester" program, where I still have to go to classes, and one of the courses will have me travel out of the city, probably twice a week.
And I already signed up for TOEFL practice, and also Art Fight for July. I am definitely not going to be so busy to the point of being tired at all. Fucking hooray!
And do you want to hear the very best part? They're gonna abolish the "short semester" thing next year. So I'm the last generation that has to do that. Wow. I'm so fucking happy right now. I don't have bad thoughts in. my. head. AT. ALL.

Unrelated, but here is the biggest sarcasm mark you'll ever see on the blips.

I reinstalled Pop!_OS, because Linux Mint was being uncooperative with my hardware. Honestly, my experience with Pop!_OS was mostly fine. I only wrecked my whole partition because I was being a complete dumbass with the partitioning tool.

Like, idk. Linux Mint is often regarded as the beginner friendly Linux OS, but whatever troubleshooting I tried to fix my Wi-FI and keyboard didn't work. Idk, maybe I'm just way dumber than even the most tech unsavvy noob in 1979. And those step by step tutorials can actually help people 1 IQ level higher than I am.

EDIT: Shit, didn't mean to reply to whoever that was. Sorry!

@Grab-n-Stash:
I'm definitely much more confident and articulate when typing words on the internet than when speaking in real life. I feel like I speak with the same amount of formality, if only a little bit more casual here. And in terms of what I talk about, I'm more open to all kinds of horny and nerdy topics when on the internet.
Though, these are all probably just because I don't talk to people a lot in real life, unless I really need to.

@W0LFB3AT5:
Yay, congrats on the completion, man! The battery is fully charged!

@savageorange: You know what, I have to agree with that. If you ask me to mention 10 bad songs I've listened to in the past year, I won't be able to answer that. Let alone songs made even earlier. But if it were good songs, then it's just a walk in the park. I think this closes the case for me.

@Grab-n-Stash: I've been saying for years that new music is shit. Most of what I regularly listen to was recorded between 1980 and 2000.

Jokes asıde, İ don't really get the argument why people thınk some thıngs are better just because they're made ın a certaın time period. Maybe you're just actively refusıng to look at thıngs made after 2000. Which İ guess ıs fıne, people have their own tastes. But that also means you're ıntenıonally avoıdıng fındıng the good new stuff. İf that's fıne wıth you, then just do what you want, İ guess.

Day 9 of using Linux.

I tried to extend the partition where Linux is installed using this software that is safe according to the FAQ, and that has never given any issues according to my friend who also uses Linux.

In a very much unrelated news, which totally has nothing to do with the above sentence, the Linux partition is now corrupted. I can no longer boot to it, and I no longer have access to the $54 commission I was working on last night. Thankfully, I have a backup, but it was from a few days ago. I'm currently not studying for finals, because the laptop is still trying to fix itself.

Moral of the story: This porcelain looking idiot that I am shouldn't be allowed to do anything with a computer, and I deserve to just have Microsoft spy on everything I do.

I wiped a knife with tissue papers, and it cut my finger and the tissue paper. Moral of the story: don't wipe knives with tissue papers.

EDIT: Knives. Cut through tissues. Like the paper, and skin tissues.

I woke up late, with my laptop on my bed on 5%, with the PDF of the materials still open. Apart from plugging the thing in, I haven't left the bed at all. I'm typing this on my phone. Good thing there's no morning class today (I think).
