If you have two tags on the same line in your blacklist it should blacklist images that have both. So solo and male on that line should solve the issue.

you can if you want to blacklist posts that only include male characters you can try adding:

male -female -intersex -ambiguous

to a line. this will only block posts with male characters unless there's a character of another gender category in the post, you can remove any of these if you want to (-intersex can be split down to "-gynomorph -andromorph -herm -maleherm" if you want to exclude any of those).

also, Dragonlord2328's suggestion of male_focus is probably a good one.
