the comment was initially just me thinking about how much of my vernacular is just quotes/references to stuff almost no one's seen and certainly fewer remember. I do slightly shift my tone of voice or slightly change my typing style when doing it, but I don't think anyone even recognizes that.

but-- man, now I'm thinkin' about how my way of speaking is able to effect other's. because I have seen a couple of my, like, pseudo-catchphrases be reused by friends, people who definitely do not know that it's from something. and... I dunno, makin me feel kinda weird.
