since the tag can occasionally be applied to andromorph and maleherm characters we wanted to avoid putting the word "male" in there since that word has a fairly strict definition in tags.
the tag was originally girly, it was changed to femboy for a couple reasons, one being that the old tagname was being applied to all 7 gender categories, rather than just the 3 it was meant for.
