A fictional race that inhabits the Star Trek Universe. Caitians are a warp capable race and are part of the United Federation of Planets. They are a feline-like humanoid species and are known to serve in all branches of the Federation.

The most prominent Caitians are Lieutenant M'Ress, who appeared in Star Trek the Animated Series (1973-1974) as a semi-regular cast member, and Commander T'Ana, MD, who appears in Star Trek: Lower Decks (2020-) as a more prominent supporting character. However, there have been other less prominent Caitians in the Star Trek Universe featured in the movies.

In Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home a Caitian admiral can be seen in attendance at the court martial of James T. Kirk. A second Caitian, a Commodore, can be seen attending the court martial as well. In the 2013 re-boot sequel Star Trek: Into Darkness, two Catians (twins) are portrayed as having spent the night with James T. Kirk.
