Fictional character from the animated TV series Futurama voiced by Tress MacNeille

Edna is a Decapodian female who carried more eggs than any other member of her species. While visiting the planet she fell in love with Fry, thinking that his lame come on lines he fed to Dr. Zoidberg were actual words of passion. Through a series of misunderstandings Zoidberg and Fry end up in a fight to the death over Edna. In the end Edna chooses neither of them (to Fry's relief and Zoidberg's lament), instead she mates with the Decapodian Emperor. While it is hinted that Zoidberg's species dies after mating it may in fact be only the males who perish as Edna is seen some time later in another episode and other elderly Decapodian females are also shown to still be living such as Zoidberg's Mother.
