ナメック星人, Namekku-seijin, Namek

A fictional race of aliens from the Dragon Ball Universe. Commonly referred to as Nameks, their homeworld is the planet Namek.

The Namekians are a humanoid race with slug-like characteristics. They have no females of their species and reproduce asexually. The Namekians have a low birth rate, but also a very long lifespan. While Namekians reproduce through a method akin to parthenogenesis there are variations in the offspring that seem to be impacted by the will of the parent. Namekians require only water so sustain themselves as their bodies are able to synthesize nutrients from the water and their own body chemistry.

The Namekians created the original Dragon Balls and are regarded as great sages and warriors among other races. Namekians have a variety of astonishing abilities that aid them in their causes such as super hearing, regeneration, limb stretching, fusion/fission, and telepathy/telekinesis.
