The Dark Lady, Queen of the Forsaken, The Banshee Queen

Sylvanas is an NPC from the Blizzard MMORPG World of Warcraft.

A former Ranger-General of Silvermoon and the leader of the Forsaken faction of undead in the Horde. She is the middle sister of Alleria and Vereesa Windrunner. When Arthas Menethil brought the Scourge to Quel'Thalas Sylvanas was there to fight him. She lost at every turn and was defeated soundly in every battle, eventually she fell to the Lich King Arthas himself, but instead of killing her he severed her soul from her body making her a servant of the Scourge and aiding them in the destruction of Silvermoon.

Sylvanas was able to secure her freedom with the aid of the Nathrezim during a time when the Lich King's power had started to wane. She attempted to assassinate the Lich King but failed and was forced to instead flee. Sylvanas turned on her Nathrezim allies and systematically took control of their dominions. Eventually she gained enough strength to launch an assault on Lordaeron which she conquered easily and created a new city beneath it's ruins called "The Undercity".
